Graphene

What is Graphene?

A single or multilayer of carbon atoms that are tightly bound into a hexagonal shape. Graphene, at one atom thick, is the lightest material by weight that is stronger than steel. It is an outstanding heat and electricity conductor which makes it useful in many ways.

Here at Home Grown Fuels, we are introducing Graphene to companies by showing them how it can not only help them but also the environment. If and when you are deciding to take the leap into the world of Graphene, there are articles and data posted everywhere even on this website. The articles and data that we have collected are located here in the Scientific Data area of the website.

Graphene is the thinnest material known. It is 200x stronger than steel, harder than diamond, more thermally conductive than copper, and naturally antimicrobial. Graphene is currently not available in industrial quantities.

Graphene is now being developed for use in the following:

  • Batteries
  • Coatings and paints
  • Concrete and asphalt additives
  • Composite materials
  • Thermal and conductive inks
  • Display screens
  • Electronics
  • Fuel cells
  • Oils and lubricants
  • Medicine
  • 3-D printing filaments
  • High-strength textiles
  • Fire resistant foams and insulation
  • Superconductors
  • Heating panel
